Financial and business consulting
Three decades advising enterprise clients on financial and business matters—experience that informs how tax problems are framed, documented, and resolved.
Advanced Tax Services is the nationwide tax practice of Matthew Wright, EA, NTPI Fellow—built for people and businesses who need tax relief and a practitioner who will tell them the truth about their options.
Matthew Wright is an IRS Enrolled Agent and NTPI Fellow. He holds an MBA from Texas Tech University and brings 30 years of financial and business consulting for enterprise clients. He has practiced as an Enrolled Agent for 10 years.
An Enrolled Agent is federally licensed to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service, including collections, examinations, and appeals. The National Tax Practice Institute (NTPI) Fellow designation, awarded by the National Association of Enrolled Agents, marks completion of a three-level program in representing clients before the IRS.
The practice is built for clients who are already overwhelmed. They do not need a hard sell. They need someone who can read the notice, explain the exposure in plain language, and then do the representation work—filing what is missing, gathering the financials, and pursuing the tax relief that actually fits.

A decade as an Enrolled Agent representing individuals and businesses before the IRS on collections, examinations, and tax relief.
A Master of Business Administration from Texas Tech University, grounding tax representation in broader financial and operational judgment.
Fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute, a three-level curriculum from the National Association of Enrolled Agents covering representation of taxpayers before the IRS.
The practice is based in North Texas and serves clients across the United States. IRS representation does not require you to live nearby. Most of the work happens by phone, video, and secure document exchange.
Tax problems rarely stay in one place. The practice handles federal matters and coordinates state tax issues that often travel with IRS collection, unfiled returns, or business compliance.
If an offer in compromise is a poor fit, you will hear that. If filing the missing returns is the first and only productive step, that comes first. The goal is a resolution you can live with, not a product to sell.
Some clients arrive with a fresh CP notice. Others have been carrying tax debt for years, or have a business that fell behind on filings during a difficult stretch. Advanced Tax Services is set up for both: people who need tax debt relief now, and clients who want a steadier preparation and planning relationship going forward.
You do not need a complete file to make contact. If you have the letter, a screenshot of the IRS balance, or simply a description of what happened, that is enough to start the conversation.
